The July monthly summary highlights the celebration of the end of stage for 2nd year high school students at PortAventura, recognizing their academic effort. In addition, registration opens.

Adrenaline and emotions to end the course: 2nd year of Baccalaureate celebrates the end of an era at PortAventura

After months of academic intensity, decisive exams, and many hours of study, the students of 2nd year of Baccalaureate from the Ateneu School have put the best possible finishing touch to their academic journey. How do you celebrate having completed such a demanding stage? By experiencing an unforgettable day full of adrenaline, laughter, and fun at PortAventura.

This outing is much more than a leisure trip: it is a recognition of consistency, well-done work, and sustained effort throughout the entire Baccalaureate cycle.

The reward for well-done work

The path to the end of High School requires a high level of commitment and maturity. Therefore, providing students with a space to disconnect before starting their new university or professional paths is essential to close the cycle in a positive and comforting way.

A day at PortAventura allows them to:

  • Disconnect from academic pressure: Release the accumulated stress during the school year in a completely playful and festive environment.

  • Reinforce group cohesion: Share attractions, emotions, and laughter with classmates with whom they have spent so many hours studying.

  • Create memories for a lifetime: Build the last collective memories of their school stage before their academic paths separate.

New milestones on the horizon

This celebration marks the symbolic closing of a stage of personal and academic growth at the center. The students leave behind the classrooms of the school but take with them a backpack full of learnings, solidified friendships, and unforgettable experiences.

From the school, we couldn't be prouder of their evolution and the courage with which they have faced every challenge of the year. You truly earned it!

How did you experience this special stage closure at home? What was the highlight or the most talked-about moment of the day? Leave us your comment below and send your congratulations message to the 2nd year Baccalaureate class!

The Got Ateneu travels this summer: participate in the photography contest and win family experiences

Summer is a time for disconnection, to discover new places, and to enjoy well-deserved vacations. However, belonging to a community like the Escola Ateneu means carrying a piece of our project wherever we go. This year, our already iconic Ateneu Cup has become the best travel companion for all families.

On the beach, in the mountains, visiting cities full of history, or exploring distant destinations, the Ateneu Cup accompanies us to remind us who we are and where we come from, showcasing the spirit of our school around the world.

The summer contest: keep the connection with the school alive

To celebrate this traveling presence and share the experiences of our families, we continue with our traditional summer photo contest. Each submitted image is a window to your vacations and a fun way to keep the school network active during the months of July and August.

Participating has its rewards! Among all the photographs received, we will raffle 3 family experience packs designed for continuing to enjoy leisure time together.

How can you participate?

  1. Take the Ateneu Cup: Include the cup in your backpack or travel bag.

  2. Capture the moment: Take a creative or beautiful photo at your vacation destination where the cup is the star.

  3. Send us your image: Send us the photo before the deadline and enter directly into the draw.

We share the Ateneu community

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this initiative that is so ours and to opt for one of the three special prizes for the whole family.

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 extracurricular activities at Ateneu is now open: a complete offer for all ages

With the start of the new school year around the corner, it is time to plan the afternoons of our children and young people. At the Ateneu School, we have everything ready to launch a new and varied program of extracurricular activities designed for the personal, physical, and creative development of the entire community, from childhood to adulthood.

Integral development goes beyond school hours. Afternoon activities allow students to explore new passions, strengthen teamwork, and gain autonomy in a safe and familiar environment.

A diversified offer for all interests

For the 2026-2027 school year, we have designed a catalog of activities structured in different areas of development:

  • Sports and physical activity: Basketball, indoor soccer, inline skating, taekwondo, table tennis, and move and play (ideal for developing motor skills and cooperative play in the early stages).

  • Artistic expression: Batucada, musical experimentation, choreographic workshop, and musical theater, options to enhance rhythm, creativity, and body expression.

  • Reinforcement and new technologies: English and robotics, designed to enhance language skills and logical thinking.

  • Space for adults: Table tennis and Zumba, to promote health and community among the center's families.

Practical information and start dates

The activities will start the week of September 15, 2026. To ensure coordination and balance of the groups, we recommend registering as soon as possible.

Let's build the new course together

Extracurricular activities are a key meeting point to build community and enjoy school from a different perspective.

Municipal recognition for Laia: the Sant Joan Despí City Council awards her excellence in the PAU

The effort, perseverance, and well-done work always bear fruit, and when these results receive public recognition, the joy multiplies for the entire educational community. Laia, a student at the Ateneu School, has been awarded by the Sant Joan Despí City Council among the municipality's students with the best grades in the university entrance exams (PAU).

This institutional recognition highlights months of dedication, rigor, and many hours of shared study, marking the brilliant closure of an exemplary school stage.

The success of the students: a shared journey

Achieving a distinguished qualification in the PAU requires a high level of self-demand and personal maturity from the students. However, behind this great feat lies a support network that makes academic success possible:

  • The student's commitment: Determination, intellectual curiosity, and perseverance to achieve personal and academic goals.

  • The teaching support: A team of teachers dedicated to guiding, preparing, and motivating the students at every step of their preparation for the entrance exams.

  • The family support: The complicity and the containment environment at home, indispensable during the months of demand and intense preparation.

Pride of community and inspiration for the future

The success of Laia is a reflection of the values we strive to cultivate day by day in the classrooms of the Ateneu. Seeing how our young people achieve their goals and open the doors to the university studies of their dreams fills the entire teaching staff with pride and serves as inspiration for the first cohorts that continue their path at the center.

Congratulations from the bottom of our hearts, Laia! We wish you the best in this new university stage that now begins.
