Feeding our children well is one of the best ways to take care of their health and daily performance. That is why, at Ateneu School, we continue to work to offer a cafeteria service that is not only balanced but also teaches children to enjoy good cooking from an early age.

In this line of constant improvement, we are very excited to announce a very special addition to our school menu.

Starting from Wednesday, March 25, all students who stay for lunch at the center will have the opportunity to taste a recipe made with fresh fish, organized by our catering team, Scolarest.

Incorporating fresh fish into the school menu provides fundamental benefits for children's growth:

• Essential nutrients: A direct source of high biological value proteins, vitamins, and minerals essential for child development.

• Promotion of healthy habits: Familiarizing students with authentic flavors and unprocessed ingredients from childhood.

The magic of Sant Jordi at the Ateneu: literature, theater, and tradition at all stages

The feast of Sant Jordi is, without a doubt, one of the most special and anticipated events in the school calendar. It is a day when culture, roses, and books take center stage, transforming the school into a space full of creativity, collaboration, and excitement.

At the Ateneu School, we celebrate this festival in a transversal way, adapting the proposals to each educational stage so that all students, from the youngest to the oldest, can be the protagonists.

Creativity and walks for primary and preschool students

In the days leading up to the feast, the classrooms fill with colors, textures, and ideas. The children in preschool and primary create thematic crafts inspired by the legend of Sant Jordi, the dragon, the princess, and the knight, working on psychomotricity and artistic expression.

Moreover, to connect school life with the municipality's environment, we go out to stroll and enjoy the atmosphere of the Can Negre stalls, bringing local tradition and the warmth of the town to our students.

Literary talent and the performing arts take the stage

In the upper stages, Sant Jordi is the best opportunity to enhance written expression and teamwork:

• Literary contest: The older students put their imagination and writing skills to the test by participating in the school's literary contest, where the best options for essays, narratives, and poetry are awarded.

• Theater play by 5th grade: The classmates of 5th grade prepare with great dedication a theatrical performance specially designed for the little ones in kindergarten and primary school, promoting cooperation and cohesion between grades.

We celebrate Sant Jordi with the AFA at the Ermita square: roses, books, and community

The day of Sant Jordi is one of the most exciting and deeply rooted celebrations of our culture. It's a day when the streets are filled with color, the scent of roses, and pages to discover, but above all, it is a wonderful opportunity to build community and share tradition.

This year, the AFA (Association of Families of Students) of the Ateneu School has once again rolled up its sleeves to bring the spirit of this day to the heart of our environment.

A stall full of culture and tradition

This Thursday, the AFA will be present at the plaza of the Hermitage with a very special stall full of roses and books prepared with much care.

This initiative goes far beyond traditional selling: it is a meeting point for all families, teachers, students, and neighbors who want to enjoy the day in a close and festive atmosphere.
