Wheels, models, and language: A wheeled journey in 4th grade
In the 4th-grade classroom, we have experienced an unforgettable project closing. Within the Catalan Language area, the students have immersed themselves in the world of skaters, bikers, and rollers. But how have we transformed vocabulary and grammar into something tangible?
The response has been the creation of spectacular models. Through cooperative work, the boys and girls have designed scenes full of movement and detail, where they have had to plan, explain, and argue their creative decisions in Catalan.
This project reminds us that when creativity and learning go hand in hand, effort turns into pure motivation. The result is not only beautiful models but also a mastery of language applied to their own passions.

Art as School Identity
Hallways with Life: Creativity Floods the Ateneu
At school, hallways are not just transit areas; they are canvases where the identity of our students is expressed. Recently, both in Early Childhood and Primary, we have carried out a visual transformation of the center through collaborative murals.
Using textures, stickers, markers, and lots of paint, each group has contributed their vision to make the school a more welcoming place. The process of painting a mural teaches children to:
Respect the shared space.
Collaborate towards a common aesthetic goal.
Express emotions through color and shape.
Walking through the school now is like taking a journey through the imagination of our children. Thanks to all the little artists for filling our daily lives with color!
What kind of mural or artistic theme would you like to see decorate the center in the future? We’re listening!
Emotional education and coexistence
The Box of Forgiveness: A tool for growing in empathy
Education also means supporting the management of conflicts and emotions. At the Ateneu, we seek positive and respectful ways for students to learn to restore bonds when there is any disagreement in the classroom. From this intention arises "The box of messages".
This initiative allows children to express, through written words, when they need to ask for forgiveness or when they feel that someone should ask them for forgiveness. Then, in a calm environment, we read the messages and look for solutions together.
This simple gesture has a profound impact:
Validates everyone’s emotions.
Encourages assertive communication.
Teaches the responsibility of our actions.
We are very proud to see how our students learn to care for others and to build a healthy coexistence.
What do you think is the most important thing when asking for forgiveness sincerely?
Community participation (Festivals)
Let's prepare for Carnival! This year we are becoming Mimes
February 14 is approaching and at the Ateneu, the festive and costume atmosphere is already in the air. This year, our community will transform into a great stage full of expression and poetic silence: we will dress up as mimes! 🤡🤍
Carnival is a golden opportunity to work on body expression and creativity shared between families and school. We have already opened the registration period (until Monday!) to be part of this celebration that promises to be magical.
Prepare the white makeup, the striped shirts, and above all, a lot of desire to laugh and enjoy together a Carnival full of excitement.
Have you made your registration yet? Leave us a comment if you are already preparing the details of your costume!
Promotion of reading
Reading Pairs: Connections that arise between books
Reading is a pleasure, but sharing reading is an adventure. Before the Christmas holidays, we launched one of the center's most beloved projects: the Reading Pairs.
In this project, senior students become "mentors" for the younger ones (the "mentees"). In their first meeting, they created their commitment cards and shared their literary tastes. This bond goes beyond technical reading; it is about:
Creating positive role models for the little ones.
Foster responsibility and care in the elders.
Generate spaces of calm and shared silence.
Seeing a godparent telling a story to their godchild is one of the most tender and powerful images we can experience at school. Love for books is best transmitted when there is an emotional bond involved.
What book do you think is an "essential" to recommend to a reading godchild or godparent?
