Castanyada, Halloween, collaborative story and Day of Entities: October full of community and creativity.
Autumn of Celebrations and Projects! The Magic of the Community at Ateneu Sant Joan Despí
The month of October and the beginning of autumn have filled Ateneu Sant Joan Despí with music, costumes, creativity, and a strong community spirit. It has been a vibrant period of activities that demonstrate our school's commitment to traditions, innovation, and fun!
Here we leave you a summary of the most notable moments we have shared with the entire Ateneu family:
1. Long Live the Castanyada! 🌰🎶
We celebrated one of our most cherished traditions with the joy that characterizes us. The students of Early Childhood and Primary have enjoyed a festive morning full of music, dances, and shared activities.
Of course, the delicious aroma of roasted chestnuts could not be missing, which we enjoyed thanks to the traditional sale by our AFA (Parents' Association). The cherry on top was the visit from the funniest Castanyera in town, who filled our day with magic and laughter.
It's wonderful to see how these traditions unite our community!
2. Night of Terror at the Ateneu: Halloween is Coming! 🎃👻
On October 30th and 31st, mystery and fun took over the school!
The ESO students demonstrated their creativity (and their spookiest side) by preparing a terrifying Tunnel of Terror, an activity that always generates excitement and plenty of screams.
On their part, the students from Early Childhood and Primary enjoyed thematic activities organized by the English department, ensuring that the “scary fun” reached all ages.
It was two days full of costumes, laughter, and experiencing Halloween in a creative and community-oriented way.
3. Imagination Takes Shape: Presentation of the Collaborative Story 📖✨
We are very proud of our 6th grade students who attended the official presentation of the collaborative story they helped create last year.
This project, carried out together with other schools in Sant Joan Despí, is a fantastic experience that combines:
Creativity and imagination.
Teamwork and collaboration.
Passion for reading and writing.
Seeing a part of your imagination published is an immense thrill and a memory that will last!
4. The Ateneu in the Community: Entities' Day 🎉🤖
We went out into the street to be close to the families and our neighbors from Sant Joan Despí. Participation in the Entities' Day was an excellent opportunity for everyone to get to know the spirit and offerings of our school.
Our stand was a success thanks to the creative button workshop where, following the theme of the end-of-course party, we offered the opportunity to create buttons with personalized images through Artificial Intelligence (AI). Technology, creativity, and community, all in one!
