Starting next Wednesday, March 25th, all students who stay for lunch at the center will have the opportunity to taste a recipe made with fresh fish, organized by our dining team, Scolarest.

The magic of Sant Jordi at the Ateneu: literature, theater, and tradition at all stages

Saint George's Day is, without a doubt, one of the most special and awaited events of the school calendar. It is a day where culture, roses, and books take center stage, transforming the school into a space full of creativity, collaboration, and excitement.

At the Ateneu School, we celebrate this festival in a transversal way, adapting the proposals to each educational stage so that all students, from the youngest to the oldest, can be the main actors.

Creativity and walks for primary and kindergarten students

During the days leading up to the festival, the classrooms are filled with colors, textures, and ideas. The kindergarten and primary school children create thematic crafts inspired by the legend of Saint George, the dragon, the princess, and the knight, working on psychomotricity and artistic expression.

Furthermore, to connect school life with the municipality's environment, we go out for walks and enjoy the atmosphere of the Can Negre stalls, bringing local tradition and the warmth of the village to our students.

Literary talent and performing arts take the stage

In the upper grades, Saint George is the best opportunity to enhance written expression and teamwork:

• Literary Contest: The older students test their imagination and writing skills by participating in the school's literary contest, where the best essays, narratives, and poetry are awarded.

• Theater Play by 5th Grade: The fifth-grade classmates prepare with great dedication a theatrical performance specially designed for the younger children in preschool and primary, fostering cooperation and cohesion between grades.

The Sant Jordi day is one of the most exciting and rooted festivals of our culture. It is a day when the streets are filled with color, the scent of roses, and pages to discover, but above all it is a magnificent opportunity to build community and share tradition.

This year, the AFA (Association of Families of Students) of the Ateneu School has once again rolled up its sleeves to bring the spirit of this day to the heart of our surroundings.

A stall full of culture and tradition

This Thursday, the AFA will be present at the Ermita Square with a very special stall full of roses and books prepared with great affection.

This initiative goes far beyond traditional sales: it is a meeting point for all families, teachers, students, and neighbors who want to enjoy the celebration in a close and festive atmosphere.
